I am working as the general director at Artsen zonder Grenzen Nederland / MSF Netherlands. I have been engaged with humanitarian work both on European shores and abroad. I have about 20 years of experience in public administration and advocacy in the Netherlands and Europe.

Between 2009 and 2019 I was member of the EU Parliament, during which I led and sat on multiple committees and teams pertaining to civil liberties, migration law, digital and human rights, investigating terrorism, human rights, and development and international cooperation.
