Humanitarian Action in Gaza - Next Steps

Humanitarian Action in Gaza - Next Steps
- on invitation only -

About the event

As we approach one year since the war and escalation of violence in Gaza, following the 7 October Hamas attack on Israel, the humanitarian situation remains truly dire. The Dutch Relief Alliance (DRA) and KUNO invite you to join an expert meeting, to provide you with updates on the DRA Acute Crisis Joint Response and assess the ongoing challenges, critical needs, and future humanitarian scenarios in Gaza.

Speakers

  • Hussein Al-Amoudi, Field Coordinator of the DRA Joint Response in Gaza, War Child.
  • Omar Graieb, Policy and Campaigns officer, Gaza, oPt, Oxfam.

This session is a follow-up to our first co-organized meeting on Humanitarian Action in Extreme Circumstances in Gaza last April. Hussein Al-Amoudi, the field coordinator for the Joint Response in Gaza will visit The Hague to provide an update on the current humanitarian situation and the recent work of the DRA Acute Joint Response. He will also discuss the evolving political landscape and all the challenges INGOs and local NGOs have to operate in. Omar Graieb will continue the meeting by offering deeper insights into the challenges and exploring possible future scenarios for humanitarian aid and coordination. Following the remarks of the speakers, participants are invited to engage in the conversation.

After that there will be plenty of time for drinks, bites and networking.
