Quantifying Climate Change Risk in Humanitarian Response

This webinar explores the newly developed Climate Change Risk Index by INFORM, which measures the humanitarian risks linked to the climate crisis. Under various emissions and population scenarios, the number of high-risk countries could rise from 36 today to 52 by 2050, while the number of people living in very high-risk areas may surge from 580 million to 1.5 billion.

Experts discuss the findings of this analysis and provide examples of how governments and humanitarian organisations can make use of this index, alongside other research findings, to better prepare for and respond to climate-related emergencies.
