About me
As manager of the Humanitarian Action team at CARE Nederland, I am priviliged to work with amazing proffesionals in the Netherlands and in project locations worldwide. We support anticipatory- and early response in times of crisis, prioritising gender-sensitive and community-based approaches, working with local partners to create lasting impact. With a strong interest in program quality, I have managed large-scale, multimillion-euro programs and grants, collaborating with international organisations and consortia in complex environments such as Syria, Angola, Jordan, Burundi and Sudan.
After working in fragile and conflict-prone countries for over a decade, my family and I returned to the Netherlands unexpectedly once the war broke out in Sudan in April 2023.
My academic background includes a Master’s in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology and a Master’s in Journalism and Media.
