About me
Within the humanitarian aid department, I cover amongst other things the activity cycle and financial planning of the Dutch humanitarian aid portfolio, in-kind assistance and anticipatory action in relation to climate crises. Last but certainly not least I am the focal person for KUNO.
After completing my study of History of International Relations (Utrecht University), I worked in Aceh, Indonesia for a post-tsunami rehabilitation project. I then moved on to Brussels for a traineeship at the European Commission. Next I got the opportunity to work as a researcher for the Commission of Inquiry into the Dutch policy towards the 2003 Iraq war (Commissie Davids). Following that, I started my life as a civil servant at the Dutch Prime Ministers’ Office. Then I made the switch to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where I have worked for the Security Policy Department, the Africa Department, the Dutch embassies in India and Rwanda and now the humanitarian division of the Stability and Humanitarian Aid Department.
