Medecins sans Frontieres

Medical assistance for people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare.

Artsen zonder Grenzen / Médecins Sans Frontières
Artsen zonder Grenzen Nederland is part of an international, independent medical humanitarian organisation Médecins Sans Frontières. We provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Our teams are made up of tens of thousands of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff – bound together by our charter. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality. We are a non-profit, self-governed, member-based organisation.
Following the founding of Médecins Sans Frontières in 1971, Artsen zonder Grenzen Nederland was founded in 1984 by a group of highly motivated people with a goal to make a difference in the lives of people in need. Today, we are a worldwide movement of nearly 65,000 people. Our work is made possible by donors from all over the world. We are also supported by the National Postcode Lottery.
