KUNO is a network of humanitarian professionals in the Netherlands: practitioners, academics and policy makers.

The partners

Other networks

KUNO collaborates with the DRA.

KUNO is a focal point for Sphere in the Netherlands.

KUNO is part of the informal European Network of Humanitarian Thinktanks (HuT). This network was founded against the backdrop of consistent reform deficits in international humanitarian policies and practices and in light of the crucial role European donor governments need to play to ensure humanitarian space and reform.

KUNO hosts The Humanitarian Observatory in the Netherlands. The Humanitarian Observatory forms part of a wider network of Observatories established in collaboration with The Hague Humanitarian Studies Centre.

The organisation

The staff of KUNO consists of the coordinator Corinne Lamain, and policy officer Julia Golterman supported by communication advisor Marianne van Elst-Sijtsma.

The Steering Committee of KUNO exists out of: Jojanneke Spoor (chair, CARE), Benoit de Gryse (Stichting Vluchteling), Leela Koenig (Clingendael), Geert Jan van Dijk (Save the Children), Kees Boersma (VU), Meinke Lignac (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Eefje Hendriks and Alberto Martinetti (Twente University).
