About Save the Children

Save the Children is an emergency aid and development organisation. Since 1919, Save the Children has grown into the world’s largest independent children’s rights organisation, operating in more than 120 countries. Every child whose childhood is threatened has their attention and care, regardless of religion, gender, race, skin color, nationality or political affiliation. Save the Children believes every child deserves a future.

Save the Children focuses on two main tasks: saving lives e.g., medical care, proper nutrition and education. And saving dreams e.g., learning to read and write, as well as learning about them about children’s rights, job opportunities, peace and security. When crisis strikes, children are most vulnerable. Save the Children is always among the first to respond and the last to leave. They ensure children’s unique needs are met and their voices are heard. They deliver lasting results for millions of children, including those hardest to reach.
