KUNO – Kennisuitwisseling over Noodhulp \ Platform for Humanitarian Knowledge Exchange in the Netherlands

About me

As coordinator of KUNO, I am responsible for the training, joint learning programs, public debates and processes of refection of the Platform for Humanitarian Knowledge Exchange in the Netherlands. After a master’s degree in the History of International Development (University of Utrecht), I worked for 15 years as journalist for Dutch national radio, where I was radio reporter for the VARA (Radio 1) and editor in chief of the daily news program Met Het Oog Op Morgen (NOS – Radio 1). After those years in journalism I became director of the political NGO Evert Vermeer Stichting. I was initiator of the advocacy platform Fair Politics and restyled the annual Afrikadag into an event where up to 2,500 people from different sectors gathered to discuss urgent development issues. In recent years I was head of the research department of the Dutch Institute for Global Citizenship (NCDO).
